Experience with Cereals

Cereal baby food has been a fascinating experience for me, due to the wide variability of production processes used, and the development of a pilot plant to simulate them. New products were developed keeping in mind the whole diet of the baby at different ages. Regulations vary from Europe to USA, both for the final product and the raw materials. Finding the adequate texture is always a challenge. Driving all of these requirements into a profitable business line is even more a challenge. It is needed a driver with a wide experience in very different aspects.

Food product development strategy

Development of sugar-free products, changing of mineral sources, etc, for different regional markets. This includes whole portfolio renewal due to technology change (double to single drum).

Process design
Spain, Sweden,USA, Turkey

Design an advanced pilot plant from scratch, and use it for process development. Single/double drum drier. Enzyme-less hydrolisis. Extrusion. Hot and cold process. Dry blending, rotary or pneumatic. .....

Quality control
International level, from Global Technology Center

Development and implementation of quality policies in acquired companies. Development of risk matrices per country and per product. Audits and corrective measures.
