Experience with Infant Formula

Infant milks are the most risky products within baby food industry.
They are extensively legislated and regulations vary across countries. Several quality layers must be built to avoid food scandals involving children.
Crisis teams must be well instructed in advance.
I have participated in a large number of projects which include the development of processes from a greeenfield, development of formulation tools, quality management of suppliers, negotiation of quality agreements and internal quality controls, plus R&D.

Food product development strategy

Participate in the step from the theoretical formula to the nullserie. Including infant formula, follow-on formula, growing-up milks and specialties (hypoalergenic, anti-regurgitation, ...).

Quality control of copackers
Audits, nullseries, routine productions

Quality controls include the initial steps, the routine productions at the copacker and the in-house dry blending. Well-known the different production processes of several European factories.

Business development in China
China (joint venture), infant formulas

New production plant. Development of the strategy for market presence in four provinces of Northeastern China, targeting Tier-3 cities. This includes innovative method of consumer management. Audits of local suppliers.
