Experience in Strategy

Being part of a strategic business unit in an international food company, for more than nine years, has been a fascinating experience for me. Projects have included the design and execution of industrial proyects (food manufacture) from pilot plants that help develop innovative products, to full industrial plants for a varied portfolio of products (baby jars, cereals, infant milk formula powder). Supplying markets in Europe, USA and Asia requires a well-designed strategy, from marketing to production. It is needed a driver with a wide experience in very different aspects.

Food process design strategy

From planning raw materials in China, to upgrading manufacture facilities in the USA, or integrating supply partners into the internal production processes. Determining a set of balanced value drivers is key.

Food Quality control strategy

Development and implementation of quality policies in acquired companies. Development of risk matrices per country and per product. Audits and corrective measures.

Long experience as researcher+teacher at the University, developing a PhD which focused on applied aspects. This provided high analytical and problem-solving skills.​

Three years MBA. Despite the lack of previous financial experience, my Dissertation was awarded with the highest recognition. Now, I use these lessons for a variety of circumstances. For instance, developing Business Cases for R&D projects.
